China United International Rail Containers Co., Ltd (referred to as “CRIntermodal” hereafter) is the first Sino-foreign joint venture of China railway, invested by five shareholders, namely CRCT, NWS, PSA, CIMC and DB, with a registered capital of RMB 4.2 billion and total investment of RMB 12 billion. CRIntermodal undertakes construction and operation of 18 railway container terminals. Currently, 13 terminals, located in Kunming, Chongqing, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, Qingdao, Urumqi, Dalian, Ningbo, Tianjin，Qinzhou and Guangzhou respectively, have been put into operation, which are all located at main economic centers and on trunk lines of China. The terminals play the role as collection and distribution centers for “container transferring from road to rail”, sea-rail transport and departure and receiving centers for China-Europe block trains or CR Express trains.
