Asia´s rapid recovery from the crisis will soon have a
positive impact on the West, too, according to the economics experts.
Reflecting this, the opening discussion in the conference programme at
transport logistic China, which takes place from 8 to 10 June in Shanghai, is
entitled 'China - The Booster for Global Transport and Logistics'. High-ranking
international experts from business, politics and science and research will be
debating this issue and showing how the global logistics industry can profit
from the upswing in the Far East.In its Asian
Development Outlook 2010 the Asian Development Bank forecasts that economic
growth in Asia will be 7.5 percent this year, with China achieving as much as ten
percent. Together with the Logistics Council Germany Messe München is
organising a panel discussion on this theme: on 8 June at 2 p.m. high-ranking
experts will be giving their opinions on 'China - The Booster for Global
Transport and Logistics'.
"China is
currently one of the main drivers in the global transport of goods. At the
trade fair in Shanghai,
the Logistics Council Germany - on behalf of the German government - will
therefore be promoting the extensive expertise that German firms have in
logistics. We hope to offer a contacts forum for German firms looking to
engage with the
Chinese market, and for Chinese exporters and logistics service-providers who
are looking for partners in Germany,"
commented Andreas Scheuer, Parliamentary State
Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Transport, speaking ahead of the
debate.
The panel
discussion is being chaired by Christian Sommer, CEO & Chairman of the German Centre in Shanghai. It is being held
in Conference Room E2-M17 on the first floor of Hall E2 in the Shanghai New
