transport logistic China 2006 – Strong participation in national pavilions
|
|
- 304 exhibitors from 34 countries
- Five national pavilions
- Largest pavilion from Germany, organised by the DSLV
transport logistic China, which takes place from 19 to 22 September 2006, will be an international showcase of products and services for logistics and telematics. In response to strong demand for transport and logistics solutions in China and across Asia, a number of countries from Europe are organising national pavilions at the event. These are: Belgium, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands and Spain.
The German association of forwarders and logistics suppliers (DSLV – Deutscher Speditions- und Logistikverband) is organising the German stand in conjunction with the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. 45 German firms, plus nine regional ministries and organisations, will be representing the sector on a 600 square-metre display. This will be the largest national pavilion at transport logistic China. Manfred F. Boes, President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders´ Associations – FIATA – and head of DSLV, is delighted about the keen interest from mainly SMEs in exhibiting in the German pavilion. Already back in 2004 the exhibitors taking part in the joint presentation organised by DSLV at the first transport logistic China found it to be a very worthwhile experience, and saw the event as a ‘springboard’ into the Chinese market. China is a country with enormous potential for logistics, with annual growth rates of 20 to 25 percent. According to Boes: “This cake is not yet divided up.” But to extend the analogy, now is the right time to start securing a slice, if long-term success is to be guaranteed.
transport logistic China opens its doors at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) between 19 and 22 September 2006; this will be the second time the event has taken place. The key players will be presenting their innovations and latest technology in an international atmosphere. To facilitate know-how transfer, the event is also being accompanied by a first-class conference programme, within which global issues relating to successful logistics for China and Asia will be explored.
