Since its premiere in 2004, transport logistic China has experienced
constant, rapid growth, which reflects developments in the transport
and logistics sector. When it opened its gates for the third time in
2008, both the amount of exhibition space and the number of exhibitors
had doubled compared to 2004. The number of Chinese exhibitors at this
internationally oriented exhibition has also increased considerably compared to earlier exhibitions.
Statistics clearly show that transport logistic China has developed
into an influential business platform for the logistics, telematics,
transport and air-cargo industry in Asia. An important factor in its
evolution to becoming the leading exhibition of its kind in Asia is the
event’s international orientation. The number of exhibitors in
2008 grew to 431 companies from 46 economically strong
countries—an increase of 43 percent.
The increasingly positive response among visitors is also indicative of
transport logistic China’s growing importance to the Asian
market. In 2008, more than 11,000 interested trade visitors from 66 countries
attended the exhibition—an increase of 22 percent compared to
2006. They took advantage of the exhibition to meet with market leaders and make important contacts in Asia.
