Your gateway to the future.
tlc_images_small_0102pl111102shanghaiChina: at the heart of the largest growth market
With more than 1.3 billion people, China has the largest population in the world. When it comes to the economy, it has the highest growth rates worldwide. Due to its central location in the rapidly growing Asian market, China plays a special role, among other things, from a logistic point of view: as the largest cargo transshipment center in the world and key export nation.

Shanghai: gateway to the world and to Asia
Shanghai now has a population of more than 18 million people and is the most important economic center in China. Its location at the mouth of the Yangtse river made Shanghai a key trading port as early as the 13th century and earned it the name "Gateway to the world". Shanghai now has the largest container port in the world (by tonnage). Its key industries in the 21st century include textiles, chemicals, motor vehicles, machines and steel.
