Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia Friuli Venezia Giulia is a sea-region located in
the heart of Europe. This is the reason why
Friuli Venezia Giulia is a natural “logistic hub” and has been representing its
developed logistic system as from transport logistic 2005 in Munich. The Adriatic Sea is the route
connecting Friuli Venezia Giulia to the world through the opportunities offered
by its ports that are the easiest and fastest gateway linking Europe and the
Far East through direct routes crossing the Suez Canal,
representing the natural terminal of the “sea motorways” along the Adriatic
axis. In fact the Trieste Port Authority is more and more increasing its
freight traffic to China’s
ports, i.e. Shanghai,
with two weekly shipments, thanks also to the well developed regional logistic
transport system. The region of Friuli
Venezia Giulia will also participate in transport logistic China 2008 with
their own pavilion. The following companies are exhibiting at this Pavilion

Intermodal Maritime Terminal (T.I.M.T.) srl Venetian Logistics Cluster Major MTOs, carriers, logistics operators and public administrations,
trade union organisations, 256 companies with some 20,000 staff, 11 million sqm
of logistics areas, over 69 million tons in handled freight.
These figures describe the strength of the Venetian Logistics Cluster,
an outstanding economic network in Europe,
combining transport, logistics and intermediation services in the Venetian
region and further, in order to offer ever more integrated and high-quality
support. The Venetian Region (Veneto)
lies at the very junction between Trans-European TEN V (East-West), TEN I
(North-South) axes and the Tyrrhenian-Adriatic Corridor Rome-Venice. This makes
up for a strong system capable of making a difference compared to other
national and European areas. Presently representing a major logistics platform, it acts as an
interface between Far East and Central Europe, thanks to its outstanding port
structures (name it: Venice) and the related inland facilities including
integrated logistics intermodal hubs (Padua, Verona). Additionally, the region
is home to the airports of Venice and Verona, the former of which (Marco
Polo Airport) being the third intercontinental airport in Italy.
The Venetian Logistics Cluster supplies a wide range of integrated and
advanced logistics services, provided by leading players in multimodal freight
forwarding, distribution and door-to-door delivery.
Such offer stretches throughout the customers’ logistics chain,
including warehousing, storage,
re-packaging, re-coding and re-wrapping of goods, custom clearance
operations as well as managerial and intermediation activities.
Thanks to state-of-the art handling systems and intermodal technologies
every kind of goods and cargo unit (containers, swap bodies, semi-trailers) can
be handled and forwarded to Italian and European destinations through road and
railway. The following companies are exhibiting at the Veneto Logistics Pavilion:
