transport logistic China

The largest growth market in the world. At a single location.

With trade volume valued at more than 1.76 trillion US dollars (in 2006), China handles more cargo than any other country in the world. With an average annual growth rate of ten percent, the enormous country is one of the top three growth markets in the world. Its prospects for the future are impressive: in exports alone, China continuously has double-digit growth rates, and an increase of 40% is expected between now and 2010.

China is doing everything it can to expand its infrastructure to pave the way for its booming economy. It currently has 1.8 million kilometers of roads; during the next few years, it plans to invest nearly 10 billion euros in road construction. Its railway network is 74,000 kilometers long, making it one of the largest in the world. 486 airports provide the necessary capacities for the country's rapidly expanding air-freight needs. And the volume of cargo handled in the country's seven most important maritime harbors continues to experience double-digit growth rates.

The business metropolis of Shanghai is the perfect location for transport logistic China. The second largest city in the country, it is not just a gateway to one of the world's leading industrial regions, i.e. the booming Yangtze River delta. Above all, it is also a modern and open host for exhibitors and visitors from China and around the world.
